File Of Life

The File of Life has been developed to help emergency personnel when they are called to assist elderly people. Sometimes elderly people are alone and unable to communicate when an emergency arises. Other times when the emergency does occur, people become excited and confused and are unable to give the correct information as quickly as it is needed.

The printed insert in the File of Life is a sheet of paper detailing vital information (name, emergency contacts, medical information, type of blood, medications, allergies, advance directives, etc.)

When the information sheet is completed and it is then placed inside the Red Plastic Envelope. The Red Plastic Envelope is magnetized so it can then be placed on the refrigerator.

There is also a Pocket Size Data Sheet that can be carried with a person when they are away from home. It is just a smaller version of the one shown above.

This File of Life is a helpful tool for relatives of the elderly should an emergency arise.

It is suggested that some of the information be completed in pencil so that it can be updated with any changes.
